Be A True Blue Hero In 2010!

Make Your New Year Challenge A True Blue Hero Challenge! The Rangers Charity Foundation is calling on the Light Blue legions to take up a New Year challenge and be a True Blue Hero at the same time.

January is traditionally the time of year when we want to make new start, full of good intentions to get fitter, lose weight or do something different.  A number of Rangers supporters and staff have already pledged to take on a personal challenge in support of the Rangers Charity Foundation – from tandem skydiving to diving with sharks -  and the Foundation is hoping hundreds more will be inspired to do what they can for this special cause.

Charity Foundation Manager, Connal Cochrane commented: “The Rangers Charity Foundation’s heroes are our supporters and we couldn’t make such a difference without them.  The support of fans is crucial to the Foundation’s success and I’d like to wish everyone a Happy New Year and encourage as many people as possible to be a true blue hero for us.  With the help of everyone in the Rangers Family the Foundation can do a power of good, so why not make that resolution and take up a challenge now?”

The Foundation has put together a range of exciting challenges for supporters to choose from, including:
 Diving with sharks at Deep Sea World
 Tandem Skydiving in Perthshire
 Tackling the Foundation’s Annual Ben Lomond Climb
 Undertaking the Rangers Arctic Challenge in Norway
 Trekking the famous West Highland Way
 Running a 10k, half marathon or full marathon

All the challenges will not only be an amazing experience for participants but will also raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation and help hundreds of good causes, including this season’s charity partners UNICEF, Teenage Cancer Trust and Glasgow Old People’s Welfare Association.  Every supporter who takes part will have the opportunity to be presented with a special ‘True Blue Hero’ medal at a ceremony hosted by a first team player.
