An Audience With Falklands Hero Simon Weston
Rangers Charity Foundation are delighted to offer fans the chance to meet a true national hero on Saturday 27th February 2010 when Falklands Veteran Simon Weston takes in his first ever Old Firm match the following day.
Simon, who will be at Ibrox as a guest of the Club on derby day, has kindly offered to help raise funds for the Rangers Charity Foundation by giving a talk about his life and experiences. Nobody could fail to be inspired by Simon's life story of grit and determination to overcome the injuries suffered when, in 1982, his ship the Sir Galahad was destroyed in Bluff Cove by an Argentinian bomb.
Simon is a passionate supporter of Armed Forces veterans and today Simon takes the opportunity to convey his story in order to motivate and encourage those, who like him, want to move on to the next goal in life, whatever it may be! His irrepressible humour, infectious enthusiasm and immediately engaging personality, make him very much in demand as an after-dinner Speaker.
There can be no doubt that Simon Weston is an inspiration to many and an example to us all - A proud husband and father, dedicated to the service of others. Simon Weston is truly a national hero.
Tickets for the event are priced a just £15 and the package will include:
