Our Vision and Aims
With your help we want to be a champion of social responsibility and charitable giving for Rangers Football Club, making our supporters proud of the charitable traditions of their Club. We aim to maximise Rangers Football Club’s potential to make a positive and lasting difference to those most in need.
The Foundation works each year with an International, National and Community Charity Partner to raise funds on their behalf and to support their wider aims and objectives. We also assist other charities and charitable causes where possible – particularly those which address our key priority areas which are:
- The needs of children
- Education
- Social inclusion
- Tolerance and understanding of the beliefs of all sectors of the community
- Health and well-being
In addition, the Foundation makes the dreams of hundreds of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children come true by arranging for them to meet the players and attend matches and tours at Ibrox.
We have made a commitment to be accountable and responsible and to operate effectively through sound governance and the use of appropriate policies and procedures. We pledge to use our resources efficiently to bring maximum benefit to those most in need and have created a clear vision, aims and objectives and an ambitious business plan designed to help us achieve our milestones.
The Foundation is overseen by a strong trustee body which includes senior figures from the business community such as Sir David Murray and Rangers Chief Executive Martin Bain, as well as John Greig MBE as Honorary President. Ally McCoist MBE and Arthur Numan are also Patrons of the Foundation.
