Flying Scotts Complete Ibrox To London Cycle!

Flying Scotts visit Stamford Bridge

Flying Scotts Complete Ibrox To London Cycle!

Scott Frame and Scott Murphy have completed their mammoth 400 mile cycle all the way from Ibrox to Chelsea's Stamford Bridge in London in support of the Rangers Charity Foundation.

The pair, who dubbed themselves 'The Flying Scotts', took five days to cover the distance and not surprisingly endured their fair share of saddle sores and challenges along the way.

One of the toughest parts was the cycle through the Borders to the border with England as the roads were very  hilly.  However, after months of training and cycling for seven hours each day they managed to keep on schedule and were delighted to reach London.  For Scott Murphy this was one of the highlights of the trip which culminated in a welcome and much appreciated free tour of Stamford Bridge through the generosity of staff at Chelsea Football  Club.

Everyone at the Rangers Charity Foundation would like to congratulate the Scotts and thank them for all their dedication and hard work to raise valuable funds for the work of the Foundation.  With a fundraising Race Night still planned the Scotts hope to raise over £2,500 for the Foundation.

If you would like to sponsor ‘The Flying Scotts’ you can donate on-line at their Just Giving page at www.justgiving.com/ibroxtolondon.

If you are inspired by the boys and fancy taking on a challenge of your own, why not take part in the Champion's Walk on Sunday 8 August 2010 or take up one of our True Blue Hero Challenges and contact the Rangers Charity Foundation on 0141 580 8775.
