Recognition
The Rangers Charity Foundation has received special recognition and appreciation from hundreds of charities since its inception, as well as many personal votes of thanks from individuals we have helped.
We have also received several special awards at national level for our work in the community. In 2004, Rangers picked up the prize for Corporate Community Involvement at the prestigious UK Charity Awards thanks to a submission which included the Rangers Charity Foundation as well as the Club’s Study Support Centre, Community Football Programme and Pride Over Prejudice campaign.
Rangers also won the Corporate Social Responsibility category at the Scottish National Business Awards in the same year, again for the work of the Charity Foundation and the Club’s other community programmes.
More recently, Foundation Manager Connal Cochrane won the prestigious Fundraiser of the Year title at the Scottish Institute of Fundraising Awards 2008 and Barry Ferguson was shortlisted in the Charity Champion category for his work on behalf of the Rangers Charity Foundation at the TFN Awards 2008.
Connal also won the Individual Award for the Govan and Craigton area at the 2009 Evening Times Community Champion Awards for his commitment to charity and the local community.
