What We Do - Introduction
What We Do

Introduction

In Season 2008/09 the Rangers Charity Foundation will work with three charities - our Community Partner, Fairbridge in Glasgow, our National Partner, RNIB Scotland and finally our International Partner, UNICEF.  Through these partnerships we will deliver three significant projects that will provide a lasting legacy and make a real difference where support is needed most.   For the Foundation, working with each organisation to really understand and support their key aims and objectives is as important as fundraising and handing over a cheque at the end of the relationship.

We also aim to help other organisations and individuals where possible and over the last five years have provided hundreds of thousands of pounds of in-kind support in the form of raffle prizes, complimentary tours, tickets, press and publicity and can collections, as well as organising hospital visits and making the dreams of hundreds of sick, disabled and disadvantaged children come true by arranging for them to meet the players and attend matches at Ibrox.

To celebrate the Foundation’s 5th anniversary in Season 2007/08 we expanded our work with smaller charities and worthwhile organisations further by launching the Rangers Community Grants scheme for the local community around Ibrox.

The Rangers Community Grants scheme aims to support grassroots community activity within the Govan and Craigton Community Planning Partnership area, particularly projects and initiatives focusing on the Foundation’s key priority areas.
