Making Dreams Come True
Hundreds of terminally ill, disabled, unwell and disadvantaged children and adults visit the Club every year and meet the players and staff, or are visited in hospital. We also send special messages and souvenirs to children and adults who are unable to attend the Stadium or are too ill or far away to receive visitors.
For Season 2008/09, the Foundation also introduced the Rangers Dream Day which allows a group of children and adults twice a year to visit the Club's world-class training centre at Murray Park, meet the entire first team squad, watch the team train and enjoy an exclusive tour of the facility before travelling to Ibrox for lunch and a tour of the Stadium.
We try to respond to as many deserving cases as possible and brighten the lives of children who are battling a serious medical condition or disability. Sadly, owing to the number of requests received, it is not always possible to assist everyone.
The Foundation also has a special relationship with Yorkhill Children’s Hospital in Glasgow. Each Christmas the players visit with gifts and toys and during the season children from the Schiehallion Ward visit Murray Park, watch training and meet the players.
We have also worked with a range of different organisations designed to make children’s dreams come true such as ‘Shine a Light’ and the ‘Make A Wish Foundation’.
