Events And Fundraising
The Foundation holds a range of events and fundraising activities every year to raise money in support of our charity partners and to fund the Community Grants Scheme.
The huge support of everyone connected with the Foundation has been instrumental in the success of these events and ultimately the level of support we have been able to offer our charities – we couldn’t do it without you!
Past events have included a zip slide across Ibrox Stadium, Race Night events at the Stadium and Lucky Blue Nose Day – a matchday event which sees supporters win a VIP day at Murray Park to meet the team, as well as the Foundation’s annual Charity Ball, which has gone from strength to strength each year, and in 2008 raised £110,000 profit in just one night!
An Evening with the Stars has also been a huge success and has provided supporters with the opportunity to meet and chat with Rangers first team stars whilst raising funds for worthwhile causes.
We also support other events such as Football Aid, which gives fans the opportunity to play on the hallowed turf of Ibrox whilst raising money for a range of diabetes charities, as well as the Rangers Charity Foundation. Further information on Football Aid can be found on their website at www.footballaid.com.
We have also created special products in the past to raise funds for the Foundation such as a fashion calendar featuring Rangers first team players, Rangers Charity Foundation badges and limited edition signed Ally McCoist prints. Watch out for more Charity Foundation products in the future!
