Foundation Announces New Rangers Charity Dream Fund

Wed 16th August 2017

The Rangers Charity Foundation will help bring smiles to the faces of even more people who are in need of a boost in Season 2017/18 through the new Rangers Charity Dream Fund.

The Fund will be used to pay for special Rangers experiences throughout the season for children and adults whose lives have been impacted by the likes of disability, illness or other difficult circumstances.

The Foundation is delighted to announce that Rangers star Bruno Alves will help us to make the new Fund a great success, having signed him up as the first ever Rangers Charity Dream Fund Champion.

Speaking at the launch of the Fund, Bruno, who will act as an ambassador for the Fund both publicly and within the first-team squad at Ibrox, said: “It was an honour to be asked to be the Rangers Charity Dream Fund Champion.

“I have been lucky enough to fulfil many of my dreams as a footballer and I look forward to being a part of the team which helps make the dreams of others come true.”

The Rangers Charity Dream Fund is made up of a number of exclusive experiences.

These include the behind the scenes Dream Day which will involve attendees meeting the entire first team squad and watching them train at the Rangers Football Centre before heading to Ibrox for lunch and a tour.

The Dream Matchday Experience will see guests given tickets to watch a Rangers game in style in a hospitality box at Ibrox and get the chance to meet a first team player.

A Dream Letter from the Foundation will include a signed photograph or souvenir pack and a letter from a Rangers player.

Rangers Charity Foundation Director Connal Cochrane thanked Bruno Alves for signing up as Champion and added: “The Foundation has a proud tradition of making the dreams of those in need of a boost come true and the new Rangers Charity Dream Fund will build on this in even more ways.

“We know the difference a boost can make to those who are less fortunate than others. Through the Fund we hope to be able to give as many people as possible that lift and create special memories for individuals and families.  We hope fans’ support will enable us to develop our dream experiences even further.”

To be considered for a Rangers Charity Dream Fund experience children and adults must be nominated using a nomination form.

All nominees will be considered individually by the Foundation with successful applications being offered one experience at the Foundation’s discretion.

Nominations can only be made once but can be made at any time by filling out the nomination form and emailing it to rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk or posting it to Rangers Charity Foundation, Argyle House, Ibrox Stadium, 150 Edmiston Drive, Glasgow, G51 2XD.

Fans will be able to fundraise on selected occasions throughout the season in support of the Rangers Charity Dream Fund and we also welcome individual donations.
