Hospice Reaches £21 Million Target

Thu 7th June 2018

Congratulations to The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice who recently announced that their Brick by Brick Appeal has now reached its £21million target.

The Foundation is delighted to have helped towards this amazing total, having worked with the charity for three seasons to raise funds for the Family Lounge within the new facility.

The new purpose-built facility, which is almost complete on a 7.5-acre green site in Bellahouston Park, will provide a gold standard in palliative care for 1200 patients and their families every year.

The new hospice is set to revolutionise patient care with adaptable private, social and family spaces specifically designed to boost wellbeing and create a sense of calm.

Currently patient bedrooms are being decorated, bathrooms tiled and bespoke joinery work is being fitted ahead of a late summer / early Autumn opening for patients.  Work is also being done on the gardens, which are coming into bloom.

“The Prince & Princess of Wales Hospice is absolutely delighted to announce that we have reached the £21m target of the Brick by Brick Appeal to build a new home for Glasgow’s Hospice,” said Heather Manson, Director of Fundraising.

“We couldn’t have done it without the goodwill of supporters, including the Rangers Charity Foundation, who have funded the Family Lounge area in our new home.”

Thank you to all our supporters who did so much to help raise funds for the Hospice during our partnership – you can be very proud of what we have achieved together!
