A Dream Day for Billy!

A trip to meet the entire team at the Foundation’s Dream Day was an amazing early birthday present for 23 year old Billy Benson, who has autism and learning difficulties.

Billy, who is a life-long Rangers fan and a season ticket holder, was put forward for the experience by his mum Claire and has not stopped talking about it since.

“Billy plays football for a disabled team in Blantyre and has been talking about the Dream Day with all his friends there,” she explained.

“He had a ball on the day, it meant the world to him to meet all the players.  Danny Wilson is his favourite and of course Mark Warburton.  He’s been telling everyone about it.

“The trip was two days before his birthday and it was the best birthday present ever.”

The Foundation organises the Dream Day twice per season and invites along supporters in need of a boost owing to illness or disability or those going through a difficult time in their lives.  Guests enjoy a tour round the training ground, meet the first team squad and watch them train and have lunch and a tour of Ibrox Stadium.
