Play on The Pitch 2026

Thu 16th April 2026

SOLD OUT

Have you ever dreamt of following in the footsteps of your heroes and playing on the pitch at Ibrox? Well now’s your chance!

The Rangers Charity Foundation is holding three special fan matches at Ibrox on Monday 18th May at 12.30pm, 4pm and 7.30pm.

Those who secure their place will follow in the footsteps of legends by playing on the famous pitch which has seen the likes of Gascoigne, Laudrup and McCoist entertain the Rangers faithful.

Players will enjoy a true First Team matchday experience from start to finish, beginning with entering Ibrox via the iconic Bill Struth Main Stand front door, getting changed in the official dressing rooms, running down the tunnel onto the pitch and playing a 90-minute game with match officials. The bar will even be open in the Members Lounge after the match to allow you to buy a few drinks with your team mates and guests.

Players can either choose to pay the fee themselves or fundraise. Those who fundraise an additional £150 on top of the match fee will become a True Blue Hero and will receive their medal from a First Team player at a reception at Ibrox later in the year.

Players can pick their position and whether they play in the Home or Away side, with fifteen spots available on each. Each side will be made up of one goalkeeper, five defenders, five midfielders and four forwards.

A starting 11 will be picked at random on the day for each team with a rolling substitution policy throughout the match. Rangers Community Coaches will be on hand throughout to help with the warm-up, team selection and tactics.

Players will be presented with an official Rangers shirt from this season to keep and we will endeavour to provide this in your preferred size. Players on the Home side will change in the Home Dressing Room, with the Away side changing in the Away Dressing Room, which has been used by the likes of Lionel Messi, Ronaldinho and Gianluigi Buffon on some of the great Ibrox European nights.

Four guests for each player are able to come and watch from the Main Stand and after the game, a Man of the Match trophy will be awarded.

Players must be aged 16 or over and be fit and able to play a full game. Those taking part will also be required to provide their own boots and shin guards. Generic socks and shorts will be provided.
