Ryan Naderi Joins Ibrox Primary Pupils for Special After School Visit

Tue 27th October 2026

Rangers FC forward Ryan Naderi brought plenty of excitement to the Rangers Charity Foundation’s Scottish FA Extra Time Programme when he visited pupils from Ibrox Primary School for a special Q&A and after school activities.

Ryan spent time with the youngsters, answering their questions about life as a professional footballer, his career and his experiences at Rangers.

The pupils had the opportunity to put their questions to the Rangers forward in an informal Q&A, giving them the chance to find out more about what it takes to play at the highest level.

Speaking during the visit, Ryan said:

“I was so pleased that I could here to visit. As soon as I heard about the opportunity I wanted to do it and honestly I had so much fun with all the pupils here, I really enjoyed it and it was a real pleasure to answer some of their questions and get involved with their activities.

“It’s so good to see what this programme gives young children and the fun that they all have when they come here after school. It’s important that these pupils have somewhere to go after school when their parents maybe have to work a little bit later and this programme does a great job of providing that.”

Foundation Community Executive, Nicole Pullar added:

“It was fantastic to welcome Ryan along to our Scottish FA Extra Time session and see the excitement his visit brought to the children. Opportunities like this give the pupils a chance to meet the players they look up to, ask questions and enjoy spending time with someone who plays for the club they love.

“The Extra Time Programme is about much more than football. It provides a safe and welcoming environment where children can stay active, build friendships and develop their confidence, while also offering valuable support to families in our local community. We are delighted that Ryan could be part of the session and help make it such a memorable experience for the pupils.”

Following the Q&A, Ryan joined the children for a small kickabout, giving the pupils the chance to get involved on the pitch and enjoy some football with a member of the Rangers first team.

The Scottish FA Extra Time Programme, delivered by the Foundation in partnership with the Scottish FA and Scottish Government, provides free after-school and holiday activities for primary school-aged children.

The programme supports children and families in the local community by offering a safe, welcoming environment where pupils can take part in physical activities, enjoy time with friends and access additional support. Alongside football and other activities, the programme helps children stay active, learn and develop new skills while providing valuable support for parents and carers.

For the pupils at Ibrox Primary, Ryan’s visit was another opportunity to enjoy the game they love and create special memories through the Foundation’s community work.
