Team Talk – Football
The Team Talk – Football programme provides men’s mental wellbeing support in Glasgow through football. Every Monday from 7pm to 9pm at Ibrox Community Complex, men aged 25+ can attend free sessions to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. The programme is delivered by the Rangers Charity Foundation and funded by UNIBET, ensuring all sessions are free and inclusive.
Participants can play football or have a casual kickabout to improve their fitness, while also having the chance to join a wellbeing discussion space to talk about any personal challenges in a safe environment. Free tea and coffee are available for all attendees.
Programme Benefits
Football provides a natural way to improve men’s mental wellbeing in Glasgow. By combining physical activity with peer support, participants can boost confidence, develop social connections, and improve overall health. The programme also complements the weekly virtual Team Talk sessions, which continue every Wednesday evening.
Jordan Boyd, Community Programmes Manager at the Rangers Charity Foundation said:
“We recognise the role football can play in bringing people together and helping people with their health and wellbeing.”
