Count Me In
The Count Me In programme, delivered by the Rangers Charity Foundation, gives young adults aged 16-25 with a learning disability the chance to play football in a safe, welcome and inclusive setting. The sessions take place every Friday at the Ibrox Community Complex.
What the Programme Offers
Participants in the Count Me In programme enjoy:
-
Weekly football sessions that focus on fun, teamwork and fitness in a non-intimidating format.
-
Opportunities to make friends, build confidence and take part in a supportive group environment.
-
A chance to represent the programme at special events and tournaments, both locally and internationally.
In addition, carers and families get to meet and connect, which strengthens the community around each participant.
Why the Programme Matters
Many young adults with learning disabilities find it difficult to access mainstream sport and group activities. However, through Count Me In:
-
They gain access to structured, inclusive football where they feel comfortable and valued.
-
They develop social skills, improved physical wellbeing and stronger self-confidence.
-
They experience a sense of belonging and achievement. Furthermore, the programme aligns with the Foundation’s mission of providing sport for everyone, anyone.
Who Can Join?
