Count Me In
The Rangers Charity Foundation launched the new Count Me In programme in early 2024.
Count Me In is a bespoke programme aimed at providing young adults with a learning disability with access to football.
Funding for this project was originally generated from the Foundation’s 2022 appeal marking the Club’s 150th Anniversary and the programme launched in 2024 with an initial funded period from March to November.
With the first period drawing to a close, we sought the help of our 2024 Charity Ball attendees to keep the project going and thanks to an overwhelming response on the night, we are able to continue Count Me In throughout 2025 and into 2026 with a grand total of 50 sessions being funded by those in the room.
Rangers Charity Foundation Chief Executive, Connal Cochrane, said:
“The Foundation is committed to diversity and inclusion and it is fantastic that we are able to provide access to football in a safe and inclusive environment for young adults with a learning disability through our new Count Me In programme.”
“Our Autism Friendly Football and Visually Impaired Football have been hugely popular since their inception and adding Count Me In to our range of community programmes ensures that the Foundation continues to be a place where everyone and anyone is welcome.”
Count Me In is open to anyone aged 16-25 with a learning disability. Sessions begin on Friday 28th February 2025 and take place at the Ibrox Community Complex, 80 Hinshelwood Drive, G51 2XP, 19:30-20:30.
