The Changing Room

If you’re searching for men’s mental health help in Glasgow, the “The Changing Room” programme from the Rangers Charity Foundation offers a unique, football-based support experience. Held at Ibrox, this free course helps men build networks, improve wellbeing and engage in meaningful conversation away from everyday stresses.

About The Changing Room

The Changing Room has one goal – to promote men’s mental health and wellbeing through the power of football. In 2022, the Foundation brought the programme to Ibrox to invite men to step down from the stands and take action for their mental health. We recognise the role that football and community can play in bringing people together, improving health and supporting emotional wellbeing.

The Changing Room specifically targets men aged 30-64, offering them a safe space to talk, engage and support each other. This programme is delivered in partnership with Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH) and the SPFL Trust, and is funded by the global men’s health charity Movember.

What the Course Offers

Participants will:

  • Engage in friendly, structured sessions at Ibrox Community Complex (80 Hinshelwood Drive, G51 2XP).

  • Be part of a team and network that supports mental health and resilience.

  • Get away from routine, chat about football and life, and open up in a trusting environment.

  • Build new friendships, feel supported and increase their emotional wellbeing. One participant said:

“Since coming along to The Changing Room I’ve come on leaps and bounds, I’ve sought professional advice, rekindled friendships and I’ve been open about my emotions…”
