Team Talk
The Team Talk programme provides free men’s mental wellbeing support virtually every Wednesday evening from 6pm to 8pm. Men aged 25 and over can join this safe and welcoming space to talk, connect, and build confidence. UNIBET funds the programme, and the Rangers Charity Foundation delivers it to help men improve their wellbeing, resilience, and social connections.
What Happens at Team Talk?
Each two-hour session combines conversation and activity to support mental health.
-
Hour 1 – Chat: Men engage in relaxed group discussions about life, football, work, relationships, and mental health.
-
Hour 2 – Choice: Participants select either light physical activity or wellbeing discussions, including coping strategies, motivation, and stress management.
Additionally, the group is friendly and supportive. Participants do not need to be football fans or physically active — they just need to be willing to connect with others.
Gordon, a participant, shared:
“Team Talk gives me a place to talk football, especially Rangers, life, and everything in between. It’s a group of guys who support one another through good and bad days.”
As a result, Team Talk provides trusted men’s mental wellbeing support in Glasgow, combining peer encouragement, expert guidance, and opportunities to form lasting friendships.
Why Team Talk Matters
Many men face mental health challenges in silence and hesitate to seek help. Therefore, Team Talk offers weekly support to build confidence, resilience, and social connections. Additionally, the programme is part of the Foundation’s “Healthier Lives” initiative, reflecting the Rangers Football Club’s ongoing commitment to the local community.
