Team Talk – Football

‘Team Talk – Football’ aims to support men’s physical and mental wellbeing through the power of football. This extension of our Team Talk initiative was launched in 2023 and runs every Monday. The free course takes place at the Ibrox Community Complex (opposite Ibrox Stadium) from 7pm to 9pm.

Over the course of the two-hour sessions, men can take part in games of football or just have a kickabout to work on their physical wellbeing. Participants can also drop into a mental health catch up area if they wish where they can openly discuss any struggles they may be having in a safe and supportive environment. Free tea and coffee is provided for all who attend.

Jordan Boyd, Community Programmes Manager at the Rangers Charity Foundation said:

“We recognise the role football can play in bringing people together and helping people with their health and wellbeing.

“We already run weekly virtual Team Talk sessions and The Changing Room programme for mental health and wellbeing and are really pleased to have added Team Talk Football to our ‘Healthy Lives’ programme of activity so we can reach and help more people.”

Our Team Talk – Football sessions are open to all men over the age of 25 who wish to get active and improve their physical health or chat about their mental health.

Team Talk virtual sessions also continue to take place every Wednesday night from 6 – 8pm and are available for all adult males.

You can take part in any session, but places will be limited so please first register your interest by emailing rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk.
