What Participants Say

Susan Ramsay, a programme participant, says:

“Before I came along to the first session, I thought it would be a bit more rough and tumble but I’m glad that it’s not because it makes Walking Football accessible for everyone.

“It is such a good way to exercise and it’s given me an opportunity to build new friendships.”

“Mentally it’s great as well because you get a chance for a cup of tea and time to chat afterwards too.”

Community Impact

The programme not only encourages physical activity but also fosters a sense of community among participants. Regular sessions provide an opportunity for individuals to connect, share experiences, and support each other’s health journeys.

Who Can Join

Walking Football is open to anyone aged 50 and over who wants to get active, enjoy the social aspects of sport, and improve their fitness in a supportive environment.
