Captain calls for Badge Day support

Fri 14th December 2018

James Tavernier today (Friday 14 December) urged fans to support the Rangers Charity Foundation by purchasing a new limited edition pin badge at the home match against Hamilton.

‘Buy a Badge Day’ will take on Sunday 16 December at Ibrox and, this season, the pin has a new dual crest design, which celebrates the unity of the Rangers Family as a force for good.

Volunteers will be selling limited edition pin badges for just £2 in and around the Stadium before the game against Hamilton, with all funds going towards the Foundation.

A limited number of pin badges are also on sale now at Ibrox Main Reception, Argyle House Reception, Rangers Megastore and Ticket Centre.

A memorabilia stall will also be back at the Hamilton fixture, due to popular demand. ‘Broxi’s Bargains’ will be running in the Fan Zone, selling signed pictures, programmes and other goodies from the Foundation’s store cupboard, as well as items generously donated by fans.

James Tavernier, Rangers Captain, said: “The Rangers Charity Foundation is an integral part of the Club and it’s great that fans can help make a difference on Sunday, in such a simple way.

“We’ve all enjoyed wearing the new pin badges this week and I’m sure that they’re going to be really popular with fans in the run up to Christmas!”

Rangers Charity Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, said: “Our new dual crest badges are a fantastic way for the Rangers Family to unite and celebrate the work of the Rangers Charity Foundation.

“All funds raised from ‘Buy a Badge Day’ will go towards supporting the Foundation, which makes a difference to thousands of lives, through a range of charitable work. And for just £2, they also make great Christmas stocking fillers!

“We would like to thank everyone who has already volunteered to help sell the new badges, and hope that supporters enjoy wearing them with pride!”

‘Buy a Badge Day’ would not be possible without the support of amazing volunteers. If you can spare a few hours before kick-off to help out, please get in touch on 0141 580 8775 or email rangerscharity@rangers.co.uk.

If you are a member of an Official Rangers Supporters Club, and would like to put in a bulk order of pin badges, please get in touch via email.
