Dream Fund Children’s Christmas Party

Jack Butland and Borna Barišić made a surprise visit to the Rangers Charity Foundation’s Dream Fund Children’s Christmas Party at Ibrox recently, and met dozens of kids in need of a boost. Kids Christmas Party

The party provides some festive fun to kids nominated via the Foundation’s own Dream Fund as well as organisations such as Robin House, Glasgow City Mission, Ronald McDonald House Glasgow and Renfrewshire Women’s Aid.

With plenty of food and entertainment, including a magic show, face painting and pictures with Broxi Bear, it was a magical afternoon for both the children and their parents.

Everyone went home with special memories, a gift and a player photograph with printed signature.

Jack Butland: “It was amazing to see the kids have such a great time, laughing and having fun. That’s what Christmas is all about!”

Borna Barisic: “It was great to meet the children and their families. Jack and I enjoyed seeing them all having a good time and hopefully they all have a Merry Christmas.”

Parent Nicola said: “It has been a really tough year for Iain, he had 2 life changing heart surgeries just before the summer and a prolonged recovery in hospital so to see him at his favourite football teams Christmas party was just amazing. The Rangers Foundation do fantastic work and we are so very grateful for the opportunity to come along.  Iain loved seeing Santa and meeting Jack and Borna who were so very kind and patient with all the children.  Everything was just fantastic and we can’t thank you enough.”

Broxi Childrens PartyEilidh Grant, Activity Director at the Children’s Hospice Association Scotland, commented: “The chance for some of our children to attend the Rangers Charity Foundation Dream Fund Christmas Party was amazing, the families were so excited to attend.

“The party was a chance for our families to make the most amazing memories with their children who have life-limiting conditions.

“Experiences like this make memories that will last a lifetime.”

The Rangers Charity Foundation’s Dream Fund organises special Rangers experiences throughout the season for children and adults whose lives have been impacted by the likes of disability, illness, bereavement or other challenging circumstance.

Experiences include meeting the first team and watching training, the Children’s Christmas party, matchday hospitality experiences and signed letters, photos and goodie bags.
