Ibrox Dream Day with Jones

Mon 7th October 2019

Six Rangers supporters, who are all living with terminal or life-changing illnesses, were invited to Ibrox for a Dream Day with the Rangers Charity Foundation yesterday (6th October 2019).

The guests and their families received a surprise visit from Jordan Jones, before enjoying a private hospitality experience for the Light Blues’ match against Hamilton.

During a tour of the famous Trophy Room, the group was also treated to a visit from the Barcelona Bears, led by Club Ambassador Derek Johnson.

Henry Brown was invited along to Ibrox, following a terminal diagnosis of liver and stomach cancer. His nephew, Billy, said: “Thank you so much. We all had an incredible time!

“The work the Rangers Charity Foundation does is amazing and to see the smile on my uncle Henry’s face was fantastic.

“I am so proud to be a Rangers supporter and can’t thank you all enough.”

Rangers FC winger, Jordan Jones, said: “It was a pleasure to spend some time with the Foundation’s Dream Day guests at Ibrox.

“Sometimes we can all take our health for granted and I can only imagine the tough time the families must be going through right now.

“But I’m proud to know that the Foundation is there for the fans and I hope that my visit, along with a great result from the lads, created a day which they’ll never forget!”

The Rangers Charity Foundation’s Dream Fund is used to pay for special Rangers experiences throughout the season for children and adults whose lives have been impacted by the likes of disability, illness or other difficult circumstances.

Guests are nominated by friends and family via the Rangers Charity Foundation website. For more information, visit www.rangerscharity.org.uk.
