Jason Cummings goes Blue to promote next Sunday’s Fun Run

Fri 11th May 2018

Rangers Jason Cummings today (Friday 11 May) urged fans to get ‘Blue All Over’ and take part in the Rangers Charity Foundation’s 5K Fun Run at Ibrox Stadium on Sunday 20 May 2018.

The Fun Run will see fans run, jog or walk around Ibrox Stadium while being covered in paint – mainly blue of course!  This latest running event follows on from successful Fun Runs in both 2016 and 2017 and gets the Rangers Family back running for some amazing causes.

Jason Cummings, who covered himself in blue paint to take part in today’s press conference, commented: “The Blue All Over 5K sounds like a lot of fun and hopefully the fans will get behind the event as they have in previous years and raise loads of money for the Rangers Charity Foundation and its charity partners. Fans and volunteers will turn Ibrox blue – and themselves – so I’m sure there will be a lot of selfies and fun photos taken on the day!”

The event is suitable for all the family from age 5 upwards and costs just £10 to take part. Every participant will receive a medal and goodie bag and there will be plenty of music, fun and games organised to keep the whole family entertained. There is also an opportunity to run around the track within the Stadium as part of the 5K.

In addition, those who raise more than £100 in sponsorship at the event will become a True Blue Hero and will be invited to a special reception at Ibrox to receive a True Blue Hero medal and pin badge from a first team player.

Connal Cochrane, Director of the Foundation, added: “Our Fun Runs at Ibrox have been a huge success over the past two seasons and have raised over £51,000 for charity, so we’re hoping fans will step up once again and get involved to help us make a real difference in our community and beyond. Thank you to all the supporters who have signed up so far this year.”

Supporters can sign up to take part in the Blue All Over Fun, sponsored by Regis Roofing, using the form below. Entries close on Wednesday 16 May.
