Men’s Fit is Back!

Tue 22nd August 2017

Are you a Rangers fan over the age of 35 who wants help to shed some weight and improve your fitness? Then ‘Aye, Ready’ is all you have to be!

The Rangers Charity Foundation is hosting new FREE Football Fans in Training courses next month, and is encouraging people to sign-up.

So, if you want to turn your health around, get in touch now!

The men’s 12-week programme will see participants given a free health check before taking part in one weekly training session, overseen by trained Rangers coaches.

By the time of completion, you will be fully educated on nutrition, exercise, weight management and motivation, which will set you up to continue building on the results of the programme.

In order to take part you must meet one of the following three criteria:

  • BMI of 27+
  • Belly of 100cm+
  • Trouser waist of 37 inches+

Results from the prgramme have been astounding – 65 recent participants lost a combined total of 59 lbs 5 oz!!  Last year, Gary Young reversed his diabetes and lost 5 stone, while Gary Robertson combined FFIT with Slimming World to lose just shy of four stones.  Alan Brown lost 23.1 kilos, 20cm from his waistline and reduced his blood pressure to 118 over 65.

Some have achieved such rapid results they have managed to take part in the Rangers Charity’s Foundation’s 5K around the hallowed turf of Ibrox and pull on the blue jersey to take part in the SPFL Trust Football Fans in Training tournament.

Senior Community Executive, Jordan Boyd, encourages anyone who wants to improve their fitness and quality of life to take the plunge.  He said:

“This is a great opportunity for people who want to kick-start a change in their health and fitness. The results of the previous groups have been astonishing and we have had great feedback from virtually every participant.”

“If anyone is nervous about the prospect of signing up, then they really don’t need to be. Our coaches give you the tools to carry on with the inevitable improvements, and there is a great camaraderie generated as the weeks go by as everyone is pushing towards the same goal.”
