The Rangers Charity Foundation introduced its charitable and community work to a new crop of Rangers Youth Academy players at the second edition of the Rangers Charity Foundation U18 Summer Cup.

Rangers Under 18s welcomed their counterparts from AFC Bournemouth and Birmingham City to the Rangers Training Centre for a three-team tournament on Wednesday, 12 July 2023.

The tournament once again was set as a round-robin format, with games lasting an hour. The Cherries made the journey north once again this year as they left Scotland last year as Summer Cup champions.

Keen to retain the trophy and producing strong performances throughout the day, the south coast side left Glasgow as the overall winners for the second year in a row.

Charity Executive, Rachael Cosgrove said: “The Foundation was delighted to welcome the three clubs once again to its U18 Summer Cup tournament. It is a great opportunity to engage with the youth academy and continue to promote the great work of the Foundation to the younger members of the Rangers Family.

“The Foundation exists to be a force for good, showing compassion to those in need, tackling inequalities and creating opportunities for people of all ages to change their lives for the better.”

“We hope everyone who attended had a fantastic day and we are thankful for their support. We look forward to another exciting event next year.”
