Rangers Family comes together for MardiGla

Rangers Football Club, Rangers Charity Foundation and Ibrox Pride came together with fans yesterday (20th July 2019) to celebrate MardiGla.

Over 7,000 people took part in the colourful pride march, which began in Kelvingrove Park before weaving its way to George Square.

Having previously invited supporters from all backgrounds to join, the Rangers Family displayed an inclusive banner, saying ‘we are for everyone and anyone’, and wore specially designed t-shirts.

Rangers Charity Foundation Director, Connal Cochrane, said: “We’re proud to stand side by sidewith the Club and Ibrox Pride, to show our support for the LGBT+ community and beyond.

“The Club and Foundation are proud to be inclusive for everyone and we hope that the Rangers family enjoyed celebrating this with us, at was a special afternoon in Glasgow – thank you all for coming along!”

Rangers Football Club’s Official LGBT+ Supporters Club, Ibrox Pride, Co-Chair, Carole Anderson, added: “Ibrox Pride was delighted to join the Club and Charity Foundation at MardiGla and it was great to see Rangers fans, their friends and families show support for inclusive football.”
