The Nook From SAMH

Thu 23rd October 2025

Last season, our amazing supporters helped us raise £20,000 towards a vital project with SAMH (Scottish Action For Mental Health) as part of our season-long partnership with the charity.

The funds raised funded the Youth Zone within SAMH’s ‘The Nook’ in Glasgow – the first in the charity’s planned national network of mental health hubs.

We were delighted to get an exclusive tour of the new facility ahead of it opening today and share with our supporters how the Hub will work and the incredible difference it will make in the city and beyond.

The Nook from SAMH provides barrier-free access to mental health support, with no need to book an appointment, no need for referrals, and no waiting lists. Anyone looking for support can walk through the door and get help fast.

The Nook is in Glasgow’s Merchant City, at Brunswick House, 51 Wilson Street, and will be open 10am-4pm, seven days a week.

The Foundation’s Marketing and Communications Manager, Jennifer Hutchison, commented:

“We were so proud to be part of this project and to see how SAMH’s hard work and commitment has come together to create a safe, inclusive and nurturing space.”

“We’re sure The Nook will be a hugely valuable resource for the community. To be able to walk in, ask for help and get expert support and advice there and then is nothing short of revolutionary.”
