Tickets for Good – Make Someone’s Day!
Tue 20th December 2016
We’ve now added a new option to our Tickets For Good scheme which allows supporters to choose the kind of cause they want their tickets to go, allowing fans to really make someone special’s day!
Now fans supporting the scheme can select if they wish the ticket they purchase to go to a veteran, carer, young person, person affected by homelessness or anyone who needs the Foundation’s help.
Tickets for Good cost just £10 and every penny raised from the sale of the tickets also comes back to the Foundation to boost our work in the community and to help vulnerable children around the world via our special partnership with Unicef.
Buying a Ticket For Good is a perfect Christmas gift too for the Rangers fan who has everything! Why not buy a Ticket for Good in their name and extend the hand of friendship to someone in need?
Connal Cochrane, Director of the Rangers Charity Foundation commented, “The Foundation has donated tickets to good causes in previous seasons but we were inspired to develop that initiative further thanks to the feedback we received from recipients. We saw what a massive difference the simple chance to come along to a match could make.
“What struck us was just how much the hand of friendship was appreciated. The experience of coming to Ibrox was always extremely special for those who attended but the welcome they received – the fact that we have invited them to our place – meant so much to them.”
“Many of the recipients, particularly the most vulnerable, felt accepted in a way they hadn’t often experienced, and we were inspired to develop our match ticket donations programme partly as a result of that feedback.”
The Foundation recently donated tickets via Tickets For Good to the Aberlour Child Care Trust and the feedback we received echoed the sentiments expressed by many recipients.
Connal added, “For several of the young people who came to the game from Aberlour, it was their first time seeing Rangers, a team they’d supported their whole lives. They couldn’t believe they’d got tickets for such an important match! They felt special, and in the case of many of the kids who came along, that isn’t something they often experience.”
“Tickets For Good does exactly what it says on the tin – it allows someone to do a bit of good for just £10, and reach out the hand of friendship to someone who needs it.”
Tickets for Good are available to buy online now by clicking here or by visiting the Rangers Ticket Centre in person. Every supporter who buys a Ticket for Good will receive a message of thanks following their purchase.
