New Armed Forces Fund Partners Announced
Thu 22nd October 2026
The Foundation is delighted to announce that Veterans Housing Scotland and Poppyscotland will be the beneficiaries of this season’s Armed Forces Fund.
We’ve pledged to raise £10,000 to be split between the charities, who do incredible work to support the services community and their families.
Founded in 1915, Veterans Housing Scotland has provided homes for disabled veterans and their families for more than 110 years. Today, they manage more than 620 affordable homes across Scotland, helping former servicemen and women who are now disabled, and their families, live independently, securely, and with dignity.
Veterans Housing Scotland doesn’t just provide homes. The charity’s dedicated staff and partners help veterans sustain their tenancies, access financial and welfare advice, improve their wellbeing and remain connected to their communities.

Veterans Housing Scotland Chief Executive, Kevin Gray, commented: ‘On behalf of our beneficiaries, Trustees and staff, I would like to thank the Rangers Foundation for choosing to support Veterans Housing Scotland as one of its Armed Forces Partners for the 2026/27 season.
“Housing remains a significant challenge for many who have served. We pride ourselves on providing not only an affordable home, but also the support and sense of community that help veterans thrive. The Rangers Foundation’s support will enable us to continue delivering these vital services.”
“One of our beneficiary’s commented that you don’t just get given a set of keys, it’s like being part of a family. We want every disabled veteran to have that same experience with us.”
Poppyscotland provide support for current and former members of the Armed Forces as well as their families, in recognition of their sacrifices and service. The charity helps countless men, women and families with issues linked to their time in the Armed Forces or with struggles adjusting from military to civilian life.
Services provided by Poppyscotland include financial support, advice, help with mobility issues, housing and mental health.

Damian Doran-Timson, Corporate Fundraiser, Poppyscotland commented: “We are incredibly grateful to the Rangers Charity Foundation for once again choosing Poppyscotland as one of the charities to benefit from this season’s Armed Forces Fund.
“For many years, the Foundation and Poppyscotland have worked together to support veterans and the wider Armed Forces community across Scotland, helping ensure those who serve, and their families, can access the support they need.
“Funding from the Armed Forces Fund helps us provide life-changing support to serving personnel, veterans and their families. From mental health and wellbeing services to financial assistance, housing support and mobility aids, these funds make a real difference to people facing the challenges that can come with military service.”
The Foundation has a long and proud tradition of working with services related charities and has donated over £284,000 in cash to armed forces and veterans’ charities to date, as well as significant in-kind support. We also provide a range of direct services in the community for veterans.
Along with the Club, the Foundation was a joint signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant in 2016 and went on to become the first football club charity in the UK to receive the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme’s Gold Award from the Ministry of Defence in 2019, along with Rangers FC. We were delighted and proud that this Gold Award status was renewed in 2024.
