Festive Cheer at our OAP Christmas Lunch
Thu 14th December 2017
Our Christmas lunch for over 70 older people from local community groups was a fantastic afternoon at Ibrox and a real boost to guests from local care homes, sheltered housing and other organisations.
A festive drink and meal, a Christmas gift and entertainment from Govan High School’s choir and band were greatly enjoyed, and former players Alex MacDonald and Willie Henderson kept all the guests laughing.
Ann Ross from a local sheltered housing project at Clifford Gardens commented, “What a cracking day we had! It was brilliant! The kids from Govan High School were great – I didn’t want to leave! And the food was first class.”
The Foundation would like to thank Govan High School’s Choir and Band and also the SPFL Trust’s Festive Friends initiative, which has generously supported our Old Folks Christmas Lunch. Thanks too to Cindy Graham photography for the fantastic pictures. You can see a full gallery of photos here.
