Kristie has suffered poor health since childhood, which has affected her quality of life. She lost her home as she was unable to work owing to her heart condition, but has still volunteered to help raise awareness of her conditions.

Frankie was born with a complex heart defect & stayed in hospital for almost the first 3 months of his life, facing open heart surgery as a tiny baby.

Frankie will face more surgery in the future but is a happy wee boy loving life!

We’ve got some more inspiring nominations for our #HeartHeroes awards! ❤

Iain is 8 years old but has had over 20 surgeries, the first at just 48 hours old. He has a rare genetic disorder called Kabuki syndrome which affects him both physically and intellectually but Iain has defied ...all the odds and challenges that he has faced in his life so far. He has huge enthusiasm for life and particularly enjoys taking part in the Foundation’s Autism Friendly Football sessions!🔴⚪🔵⚽

Frankie-Jay was born with a complex congenital heart defect and stayed in hospital for almost the first 3 months of his life, facing open heart surgery as a tiny baby. Frankie will face more surgery in the future but is a happy wee boy loving life!🥰

Kristie has suffered with poor health since she was a young child which has significantly affected her quality of life. She lost her home recently as she has been unable to work or drive owing to her heart condition, but has still done voluntary charity work to help raise awareness of her conditions. 💙
