A group of inspirational guests facing serious illness and life-changing challenges were given a day to remember today thanks to the Rangers Charity Foundation as they met men’s and women’s first team players at a special Dream Day event at the Rangers Training Centre. The visit brought together 13 individuals and their guests who are navigating incredibly difficult circumstances, offering them a chance to step away from daily treatment or struggles and experience something truly uplifting. It was a chance to create lasting memories. Players took time to chat to the guests, share stories, and listen. For many of the visitors, meeting their heroes in such a personal setting was something they had only ever dreamed about. Guest Kell, 10, who has been bravely battling aplastic anemia said: Today has given me a big boost after having 5 months of treatment before my bone marrow transplant. I really enjoyed meeting all the men’s and women’s players and Nico Raskin even signed my boots that the hospital made especially for me.” Thelo Aasgaard spoke about how much the day meant to the players: “It’s difficult to put into words how inspiring these people are. They’re dealing with challenges most of us can’t imagine, yet they come here with smiles on their faces. If we can give them even a small lift, then it means everything to us as players.” After the signing session, the group enjoyed a lunch in the Members Lounge followed by a special tour of Ibrox Stadium, walking through iconic areas including the tunnel, dressing rooms, and pitchside. Rangers Women’s captain Nicola Docherty reflected on the impact of the visit. “Days like this remind you what football is really about. It’s not just the matches or the results—it’s the people. Meeting these guests, hearing their stories, it gives you perspective. They’ve inspired us just as much as we’ve hopefully lifted them.” The Foundation’s Dream Fund pays for special Rangers experiences throughout the season for children and adults whose lives have been impacted by the likes of disability, illness, bereavement or other challenging circumstance. Dream Fund experiences include our Behind The Scenes Dream Day at the Training Centre, Matchday Experiences, Dream Fund letters and much more. Foundation Charity Executive Rachael Cosgrove, who coordinates Dream Day experiences, said: “We loved welcoming our Dream Day guests and making sure they could have this special experience during very difficult times. This is just something we can offer as a Club and Foundation to make their days a little brighter when they are most in need of a boost.” This season our Dream Fund has been generously supported by a group of individuals who attended our 2025 Charity Ball last November.
